What this seminar promises:
This fun,
interactive and entertaining program is mentally empowering and motivating. It
promises to reveal the secrets of how people prefer to think in the four
specifically identified brain quadrants.
You will learn to
understand why conflict can arise and how to resolve this conflict in marriages,
personal relationships, teams, and business relationships.
This program will
show you how to select you (project) team or how to select the most appropriate
person(s) for a project, task or employment position based on their thinking
preferences as opposed to only assessing their current skills. This lends itself
to lower costs of training or preparing someone for a position that requires
them to adjust their normal thinking patterns in a position not ideally suited
to their brain profile.
Seminar content
There are four
quadrants of the brain that will be expanded upon. Traditionally we have learned
that we have a right an left hemisphere in our brains. Further medical research
has exposed that these two hemispheres can be further divided to reveal an upper
and lower level each housing an individuals brain specific thought preferences.
Most people will
tend to be dominant in one or two of these four quadrants and can be classified
largely into the following models.
-
They prefer to think
analytically, demanding facts in a logical format. They like to work with
numbers and with technical aspects. Performance is important to them.
-
They do not enjoy risk, hence,
they prefer to do things in the tried and tested way. Facts must be presented
chronologically in an organised and structured way. Provide plenty of detail.
They prefer practical activities. They give priority to the task they are busy
with to ensure it is completed on schedule. They look for security.
-
They do not want detail but
prefer two or three main facts that gives them the whole picture. They embrace
risk, enjoy change and innovation. They are often entrepreneurial and enjoy
being busy with several things at once. They are creative, and unlikely to
accept that there is only one right way to do something - they will often do
the same activity but will do it differently each time. Often exhibit a strong
"gut-feel" when making decisions. Likes to find a link between the present and
the future.
-
They often experience facts
and solve problems in an emotional way. They always consider how other people
will be affected by their decisions and actions. They show empathy and are
intuitive when dealing with other people. They prefer to interact with others
rather than operate alone. If they like a new idea they will embrace it with
enthusiasm. When communicating they use very picturesque language and make
much use of body language and facial expressions.
It does not end
there, career choice can be defined and then associated with the four quadrants
in terms of the required abilities to assist in career guidance or career
selection.
